Young-Adults
The years between 18 and 25 bring some of life’s biggest transitions — college, first jobs, new relationships, and figuring out independence for the first time. Along with the excitement of this stage often comes stress, uncertainty, and pressure that can affect mental health in ways that feel hard to explain to people who haven’t been through it recently themselves.
Whether it’s anxiety, depression, or just feeling overwhelmed by change, support can help you navigate this stage with more confidence.
Treatment Process
Care for young adults is collaborative and practical, focused on the real challenges of this stage of life — school, career, relationships, and independence — with strategies that fit into a busy, changing schedule.Your age, the duration of your symptoms, having a family history of depression, and co-occurring mental or physical health difficulties might all affect your prognosis. Some researchers believe that there is evidence for a ‘scarring’ effect, where the likelihood of suffering from a relapse in depression increases with the number of episodes you have already had. There is also an increased risk of suicide associated with severe depression.
We understand it’s difficult to take the first step, but you don’t have to be paralyzed into inaction. We use empirically validated treatments and processes proven to positively impact the effects of depressive disorders.
